April’s Birchbox For Just A Penny

a box with a woman in the middle

I’m really close to my next $10 Birchbox reward, so I’ll admit I kept my subscription for at least another month just to hit a 100 point balance. And I didn’t regret it. Now that I’m serious about letting it lapse, each box seems to be more and more interesting 🙂

This month had a Tiny Tweaks, Big Results theme, which themed like it could be right up my alley.

First up was the bottle of Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle, which supposedly locks in color, ads shine, and instantly detangles among other benefits. I don’t have trouble with tangles, so this wound up making my hair a little greasy and limp halfway through the day. Next was Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lipstick which could be worn glossy or matte depending on how it was applied. I do love trying various lip gloss so it was fun to try, but went on a little too red.

I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, although I probably should have, but I was very happy to see a tiny tube of Caudalie SOS Morning Eye Rescue. Can’t wait for my next long flight to give it a try!

The products I was most excited to see was the Yes To Cucumber individually wrapped facial towellettes and Yes to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub & Dark Spot Correcting Serum (also good for long flights or late nights). I’m a big fan of the Garnier Refreshing Remover but would be happy to switch if these wind up even better.

The highlight though was the offer for a free year of Women’s Health. You can take the subscription or get a $9.99 refund which makes this month’s Birchbox only a penny.

April 14th is the last day to order April’s box, no guarantees you’ll get the Women’s Health offer, but if you do, it definitely makes this one a bargain. And after looking at the website seems like there’s amazing samples from Kiehl’s and SuperGoop that I didn’t get.
