11 Things We No Longer See on Airplanes, Give or Take a Few

a group of people in an airplane

Mental Floss had a fun post last week on 11 Things We No Longer See on Airplanes. There were a few things on the list though that I contest have modern day counterparts.

2. Pong

Ok, as far as I know, no flights have two player (or one player) arcade games in the bar area, but  some airlines, such as Virgin Atlantic and Etihad, do have walk up bars and now many economy seats are equipped with in-seat games with multi-player capability.

3. Champagne in Coach

Does Spirit Airlines’ Strawberry Moscato in a can count?

8. In-Flight Fashion Shows

So Asiana Airlines actually does fashion shows not “air strips.”

Invalid request error occurred.

And Thai Airways flight attendants often start off in pant suits, switching to traditional Thai garb once in the air.

Such a shame they don’t offer fresh cut flowers or table-side meat carving any more! Not sorry pianos aren’t an option though…loud talkers is quite enough for me.

What in-flight options do you miss the most?
