Two Nights Free at the New Andaz Maui

I just got an offer in my Inbox that seemed too good to be true.  So much so, I sent it to another deal-minded friend to check what I thought I saw.

When you book four nights at the brand new Andaz Maui, you get two of those nights free, plus $75 in credit.  Furthermore, the dates available for it seem to be cheaper than further out.  I’m getting rates around $300 a night.

You must be a Gold Passport Member to take advantage of this deal, but all that requires is signing up.

In a way this deal is generous and in another way it makes sense.  It makes sense because it is a new hotel opening in the off-season.  The way it is generous is that it is already charging off season rates and then is doing what is ultimately BOGO.

I want to check out the Andaz so I may take advantage of this deal.  My friend who was looking the deal over with me said, “I will say you’re one of the only people I’ve known who wants to visit a place just for the hotel.”

You must go all the way to check out for this deal to take effect.  For a look at the Andaz, I really recommend Hack My Trip’s post on this.

Anyone else considering flying out to Maui?

Edit:  To clarify for those who it isn’t posting for:

From reader Nate:

Thanks for the great find. I just booked this for travel in December. The website or the phone agents will apply the code to the reservation, but the discount applies only at checkout from the hotel. You will not see the discount during checkout process on the site or over the phone. Once I made the reservation over the phone at the 800 number I called the hotel directly to validate that – and yes they will apply the code at checkout. Ensure the offer code is on the reservation.

  1. I put in the dates we were looking at going to Hawaii and the offer’s not available for those dates. 🙁

  2. You’re reading this incorrectly. You get 2 additional nights for free, so you have to pay for 4 nights to get the additional 2 for free for a total of 6 nights.

    This has been around awhile…

  5. Already have trip booked over Christmas. Can’t wait to check it out!!

  6. I’m sure it’s a great resort, but $1000/night is a tough pill to swallow even when discounted down to $500.

  7. Looks like my commens got posted twice. I confirmed with andaz and reservations – the promo gets applied on your 4 day stay. So stay 4 days but pay for only 2 days. Not pay for 4 and get 2 extra for free.
