November’s Holiday Romance Glossybox Didn’t Capture My Heart

a box with a product and a book

I just got my November Glossybox and it’s a fairly decent box, though for some reason I’m not as excited as I was when I got my Birchbox and Sample Society.

First up was The Aloe Source Jojoba Radiance Cleansing Polish. I found the exfoliating grit was a little too large and didn’t dissolved like my favorite Suki face wash, and my face felt a little dry afterwards. The Mastey Color Protection Leave-In Oil Treatment seems promising for damaged or color treated hair, which doesn’t quite apply to me.

The remaining items would be helpful in practicing my smokey eye (a talent that still eludes me). A compact with Emite Makeup’s Micronized Eye Shadow in Dams (basically black). And a Jelly Pong Pong crayon that doubles as both eyeliner and eye shadow. I got lucky — my friend got the exact same box, except she got a duo pencil with lime-green eyeliner instead…

The last item was the most useful! Who doesn’t need an extra eyeshadow brush. And if you’re a fan of Mastey products, feel free to take advantage of my 20% off coupon. Use code GB-Friend at www.ColorProtecting.com

If this box is up your alley, feel free to sign up using my referral link. I do  earn 200 Glossybox points for that, but not for any purchases at Colorprotection.com.

  1. I have enjoyed your reviews of the sample boxes. I think I will give some gift subscriptions this year. Can I use your birchbox link from a previous post?

  2. I tried to register but apparently it will be a two week wait before I get an invitation telling me I can subscribe. I want to get a few subscriptions as gifts. I hope they will be available for christmas

  3. I went back to the site and purchased my first gift subscription. I chose a notification date of mid December. There was no mention of a wait. So my friend may enjoying a box before I am.
