Keri’s Holiday Gift Guide

Still need ideas for the frequent travelers, or soon to be frequent travelers, on your list? Here are a few of my favorite things…

Making Travel More Convenient

Travel Wallet – If I could only have one travel accessory this is what I’d pick. It has enough room to store all my airline, hotel, and car rental membership cards, as well as travel and drink vouchers and certs. Not to mention easy access to my passport. Get one with a zippered compartment on the outside, and it doubles as foreign currency storage. I was gifted a Tumi but there’s many good, less expensive options in a variety of fabrics and layouts.

Zuni Portable Wifi Router – turns your computer into a hotspot after you’ve logged into an internet service. A great option for hotels (or anywhere) when you want to connect multiple devices wirelessly without having to log in or pay separately.

Portable/Backup Batteries – there’s a variety of ways to keep your electronics charged, and nothing says you love someone like alleviating the need to rush to an outlet the second they deplane.

Tumi Quintessential Tote – the perfect weekend/overnight bag! It has more structure than a Longchamp, but just as much style. Has several capacious well placed pockets. One of the best gifts I’ve received, and my second favorite accessory after the travel wallet. Comes in lots of colors!

Security Friendly Laptop Bag – I was skeptical if a “butterfly†case that lets me go through security without taking my laptop out would really save time. It does! And it ensures you’ll never leave it behind. I love my Targus Checkpoint Friendly Case, but there are lots of options!

Making Travel More Comfortable

Inflatable Travel Pillow – It’s a hybrid neck pillow. It’s inflatable. It’s actually something I happily use (review) to sleep on long flights in economy.

Tom Bihn Absolute Shoulder Strap (for laptop bags) – Does an amazing job of alleviating the pressure and weight of an over-packed laptop strap. My need for massages has dramatically decreased since someone gave this to me as a gift!

Flight 001 TSA Toiletry Kit – an easy way to carry your favorite products in a travel size, also a nice way to stay packed and ready for that last minute flight! If they already have their clear ziplock back of choice, Flight 001 has lots of fun themed toiletry bags for non-liquid items.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream – a lightweight moisturizer for both men and women. You barely feel it once it’s on, but keeps your face feeling less dry and tired on those long travel days.

Monthly Travel Size Beauty Products — an easy way to try a wide range of perfectly sized products without committing a lot of money or space! And since it arrives every month, it really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Yoga Toes – Not the most elegant, when you’ve spent the day running around sight seeing or through the airport, these gadgets help stretch and relax your feet.

And for the person who has everything, consider giving on their behalf to those who have little. Kiva, Compassion International, and Wheels for the World are just a few of many deserving charities around the world making a difference.
