When is the Midwest Colder Than Barrow, Alaska?
Today and tomorrow. A Daily Mail article points out that allowing for the wind chills today,  temperatures in Minneapolis felt like -43F, -23F in Milwaukee and Chicago, and -14F in Kansas City. Far colder than Barrow, Alaska which was a balmy  -7F today.
Rather glad I visited both destinations this summer, even if I didn’t get to see a polar bear!

You know on my Iphone I always have Barrow AK’s weather to make myself feel better about the weather in my midwestern city. For the past couple of weeks, there have been many occasions where it is actually cooler in my city than Barrow. Time to find a new place in siberia to compare to….
I was just in ANC and FAI this past weekend for the Great Alaska Beer and Barleywine Festival. We were disappointed that the coldest we got was only got 12 degrees.
