The Fashionably Late February Glossybox

a box of makeup products

My Glossybox finally arrived on Saturday. I don’t know why I can’t condition myself to the fact it always arrives at the end of the month, but there you go. The February Glossybox had a “Month of Love†theme and other than the tie-in “we aim to deliver a box filled with love and happiness every month†there didn’t appear to be much in common among the random, but useful items.

First up was a full size tube of OC8 Professional Mattifying Gel ($30, 1.6 fl oz), a make up base which provides up to 8 hours of shine control and more even skin tone.

Next, yet another repeat – a second Emite Makeup eyelash curler ($30.50), identical to the one that arrived in my October box and not much different than my $7 Maybeline version. Fortunately I can just locate this one permanently in my travel kit and not have to worry about forgetting to switch out.

There was also a bottle of Lauren B. Beauty nailpolish ($18) in “City of Angels.†The pale pink is very appropriate for February and for spring. Useful too, since the few times I do wear nailpolish it tends to be lighter colors.

And last up, a travel size bottle of Pureology serious colour care ($24, 6.7 oz) hair treatment for colored hair and a Sumita Beauty Kala Color Intense Pencil ($15). I wouldn’t be as excited since I’ve fallen in love with the Punker eyeliner that came in my December Glossybox, but this one claims to be ideal for the inner water line of your eye (I didn’t know that had an official name), so I’m going to give it a try.

Not an exciting box, but still a good value and well worth the $21. If you’re interested in signing up for Glossybox, feel free to use my referral link which will give me 200 Glossydots towards a free box.
