Happy St Patrick’s Day! Free Admission and Online Access to the Book of Kells

a bust of a man in a library

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, The Trinity College Library Dublin is granting free admission, normally €9 for adults, on Monday, March 17 (12:00-16:30). I recently visited the library, and thought the Old Library above the Book of Kells Exhibit alone was worth the price.

So if you’re in Dublin today, you should definitely go!

If you can’t make it, you can now view the entire book online (which is more than you can do in person!) for free thanks the library’s digital imaging services. Or spend a mere €.89 to get their iPad app with added functionality and commentary.

Thanks to Reader Tenille for the head’s up!
