Best Mile Earning Offers for Mother’s Day Flowers

If you’ll be sending flowers for Mother’s Day, make sure you’re earning the most miles possible! The offers I’ve found aren’t quite as good as Valentine’s Day, but there’s still some.

Don’t forget about 1800Flower’s Passport program which gives you free shipping for a year for $29.95 and works with cashback and mileage portals.

And if you purchase with an American Express Open credit card you’ll get an additional 5% back.

Using Coupons + Earning Points Through Ultimate Rewards

Mileage earning purchases are often more expensive and cannot be combined with coupons. But the Ultimate Rewards Mall (available for Chase Sapphire and Ink credit card holders) allows you to earn points and apply coupons.

    1. Usually you have to enter a promo code and your loyalty number to get miles and this doesn’t require it. And I’ve successfully had UR points post when using a coupon 🙂

  1. Amex sync also has $15 off $50 on 1-800-flowers (seems targeted since its not on all my cards) which stacks with the promo code. For triple dip, buying gift card with Amex Sync and using it to purchase through Barclay rewardsboost with miles promo code has worked in the past.

Basically Amex Sync requires the use of the registered Amex card, rewards/cashback portal requires going through their link and miles require their promo code. As long as none of those are duplicated, they stack. Some portals (like Discover Extra) require you to use their promo code so that does not stack. I have not tried with UR since Barclay RewardsBoost or cashback portals have had better rewards generally.

But if something goes wrong, its a pain since gift cards are not covered by some, some portals will not look at issues if their credit card has not been used etc.

  2. The AA link to FTD shows the 300/$ + 200 offer but this is not reflected in the miles next to the item prices. The MileagePlus offer seems to work correctly. Any idea if this is just a glitch or do you actually have to pay with the Citi AA card in order to get miles?
