Get the Amazing July Birchbox for Free!
This month’s Birchbox came with a nice little surprise. They’ve partnered up with Women’s Health so you can get a free 12 month subscription to the magazine OR a $9.99 refund.
So technically that would mean your Birchbox would cost a cent, almost free. If you’re not currently subscribed, you can still order the July box, but you should probably hurry!
And I was happy with the box before I realized it came with a refund!
Up first was the bottle of NAOBAY Body Radiance Lotion ($24) — wasn’t crazy about the scent but I will never say no to a great hydrating lotion. I also had TWO pots of Beauty Protector Protect & Treat Hair Mask ($25.95) made of argan oil and which had a great smell. I think I was only supposed to get one, so extra bonus!
As you might have noticed, I love lip balm so always happy to try a new one, particularly one with mango butter :). Though the color of the Benefit Cosmetics Posiebalm ($18) looked a little bright in the tube, it actually goes on nicely with just a hint of pink. Peel’s are always iffy, but that’s why I like trying sample sizes first. I’ll be interested to see if the Real Chemistry Luminous 3-Minute Peel ($48) can exfoliate without irritating my skin.
And I was super excited about the last item (and very frustrated that my camera could not capture it’s shiny packaging) which was my beauty extra! It was a packet of Skyn Iceland’s Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($30) designed to “hydrate and refresh stressed skin under the eyes.” Perfect for my next late night at work or when my upgrade doesn’t clear for a cross-country flight!
Birchbox has really stepped up their game and even on the lackluster months, they’re loyalty program still makes it worthwhile. Spending 10 minutes filling out the surveys for each box earns $5 in store credit, effectively reducing the monthly subscription cost to $5 a month. You can’t beat it!
