M life Offers Bigger Hotel Discounts Based on Status

Any Hyatt elites not booking their Las Vegas stays through Mlife are missing out on big savings! Especially Diamonds.

I’d originally booked my Sunday night stay for the Vdara through the Hyatt website to get stay credit, for the MGM daily rate of $109.

Then I remembered Jeanne saying something about cheaper rates through the Mlife site and went there to check it out. The terms and conditions indicate any Mlife eligible stay earns Hyatt credit towards elite status, including those booked through the Mlife website.  And it was pricing 20% cheaper at $88.

At this point I only had the free, entry level Sapphire status with Mlife because I had been lazy about matching my Hyatt diamond status to get Mlife Platinum status. Which I then promptly did.

I was curious if you got a bigger discount based on your M life status, so as soon as my platinum status registered (in less than 48 hours, thank you @HyattConcierge!) I priced out my room again, and multiple other dates, just to see. Sure enough, the rate was cheaper, offering a 25%-30% discount depending on the date.

A note though, booking through Mlife is it requires a one-night deposit refundable up to 48 hours in advance.

  1. Thanks for the tip. I’ve had trouble enrolling in Mlife and matching it to my Hyatt Platinum status. @HyattConcierge is handling it now. Can’t wait to see the added savings.
