Birchbox is Off to a Decent Start This Year

By  |

I’m a little behind reporting on what my January beauty boxes brought, but not for lack of enthusiasm. I was pretty pleased with what Birchbox’s Let’s Do This! box had to offer.

The first thing I pounced upon was the Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm 45+ ($39)! I love Dr. Jart+’s BB and CC creams and this is no exception. I was also very relieved to discover the blue pouch contained a lip gloss in a wearable color. The Manna Kadar Lip Locked ($24) in the All of You shade is a primer, stain, and gloss all in one. Yay!

Next up was the Essentiel Elements Wake Up Rosemary Body Lotion ($19). I always like trying new body lotions and the fragrance on this is just the right intensity.

And then the last two samples, which kind of felt like cheating to me 🙂 Not because the Neil George Shampoo and Conditioner ($9) bottles weren’t a good size, but usually I expect to encounter 5 different types of product and this is two of the same brand. That said, at least it was products that I’ll use!

If you’re interested in trying Birchbox out this year, please sign up using my referral link and I’ll get 500 points towards products in their store. Birchbox runs $10 a month and if you fill out their quick surveys on each sample, you’ll earn 500 points (worth $5) to spend on purchases in their store. Basically making it $5 a month. Not bad! And if you decided to subscribe for an annual subscription, you get a discounted rate of $110 and extra points.
