January’s Unusually Good Glossybox

By  |

January’s Glossybox was a nice surprise last month!  No sooner do I decide I’m going to cancel to save money and (because 10 beauty products a month is a little too much to keep up with) then I get a great box that beats my January Birchbox.

Dark eyeliner is my number 1 travel go-to because it helps keep up the appearance I’m alert and wide-eyed no matter how dark the circles under my eyes are. So I’m always thrilled to try a new, this time LOLLIPOPS eye pencil in Goodbye Moon ($17.70) enriched with Vitamin E and a metallic finish. The only potential issue is it’s also “super smudgable for an on-the-go smokey eye” which isn’t ideal when I absentmindly rub my tired eyes…

I was also in need of a new eye shadow brush, so teeez Trendy Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Brush Still ($23.50) was perfect timing.

It’s no secret I love to try new facial lotions, though so far nothing can beat the affordable Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, and I’m a fan of SKIN&CO Roma. Their Truffle Therapy Serum for face and neck ($80) was an exciting selection! And the VICHY Puerte Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleanser ($19.50) was even better than I had hoped. Not only was it gentle on my skin and a convenient travel size, but step #3 “Eyes make-up remover” is perfect for when I do smudge my liner accidentally. 🙂

The last option was the least exciting, but still welcome — a full size sample of Kueshi Revitalizing Face Toner ($13.30).

So I’m hooked for at least another month and then I have to decide is spending $21 a month is worth it, if I want to commit to another annual subscription for $220 (oof), or if I take a break and hope for another Living Social deal to come up… If you’re interested in trying Glossybox, feel free to sign up using my link which will get me 1/4 or more of the way to a free box. 🙂
