Ithaca, NY Visitors Bureau Recommends Key West Instead This Winter
Reader Dan brought this to my attention. Apparently VisitIthaca.com, the Ithaca/Tompkins County Convention & Visitors Bureau has given up for the time being and the website now suggests visitors consider Florida instead! 🙂
Upon visiting the website the following message and graphics come up:
That’s it. We surrender. Winter, you win. Key West anyone?
Due to this ridiculously stupid winter, Ithaca invites you to visit The Florida Keys this week. Please come back when things thaw out. Really, it’s for the birds here now. (Still want to Visit Ithaca? Are you sure? Ok, click here.)

As a marketing person, I think this is sheer brilliance as I’m now motivated to see what Ithaca has to offer when it’s not miserably cold and snowy!
