Have You Visited These Designer Starbucks Airport Locations?

Not all Starbucks are created equal and some of the Starbucks airport stores you’re passing could be more unique than you think. Starbucks’ designer team have created locally inspired locations to help you “relax and connect.” I find the descriptions take a little liberty in their translation from concept to execution, but still more exciting than the typical Starbucks appearance.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)

Reflects the city’s reputation as one of  the boating capitals of the world and the “Venice of Americaâ€Â with a design similar to a motorboat including reclaimed teak decking.

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)

These locations seek to replicate the congenial feel of Philly neighborhoods with seating reminiscent of a front porch and easy ways to people watch.

Washington Dulles (IAD)

“The Starbucks store at Washington Dulles International Airport Terminal B has a one-of-a-kind feature wall decorated with vintage suitcases.” It also is one of the first locations to offer beer and wine in the afternoons.

Los Angeles (LAX)

The T51 location design replicates the froth in a cafe latte with overhead steel canopies. The T61 location features a collage wall of LA locations with graffiti overlayed.
