Targeted United Explorer 50K Offer: Check Your United Account

Just a head’s up, I’ve found another way you might be targeted for a Chase United Explorer credit card 50,000 bonus mile offer. The generous offer is out there, but only for select customers. Frequent Miler reports that making a purchase through the Mileage Plus shopping portal might result in an email or mailed offer.

For me it was as simple as logging into my United account. When I pulled up the United website an offer of 30,000 bonus miles was showing at the bottom of the home page.

I logged in and it was still showing 30,000 (hadn’t occured to me to take screenshots yet) but I clicked through to see and the offer that displayed was the one I was hoping for — 50,000 bonus miles after $2,000 in purchases.

I went back to my United page and the 50,000 bonus miles was now displaying.a screenshot of a computer

It appears that the offer is targeted though, as clicking directly on the Explorer 50K application link takes you to this page.

  1. I got the same thing too, of course AFTER I had applied for the card with the 30,000 mile offer. I messaged Chase to see if they will math the higher offer, like they did when Sapphire Preferred went up to 50,000. We shall see.

      1. Hooray Chase! I received a very nice message apologizing for the mix-up on my offer. Once I hit the spend for the bonus, they asked me to call to get the additional points credited. 🙂
