If you buy items online from retailers that offer price adjustments, there’s an easy way to automatically get refunds when the price drops. This is particularly great for after Christmas discounts!

Paribus has been around for a while, and now that they’re part of Capital One, their services are completely free, even if you don’t have a Capital One account.a black and white image of a bag

You link your email account, they track your online purchases at participating merchants, and if the price drops within the adjustment window they’ll submit a request for a refund on your behalf. You don’t have to monitor or do anything!

They’ll even track purchases you’ve already made prior to signing up.

Merchants Monitored by Paribus

  • Bloomingdale’s
  • Macy’s
  • NewEgg
  • Staples
  • Target
  • Bonobos
  • J.Crew
  • Zappos
  • Nordstrom
  • Banana Republic
  • Gap
  • Old Navy
  • Athleta
  • Walmart
  • Kohl’s
  • Office Depot
  • Neiman Marcus
  • Saks Fifth Avenue
  • Costco
  • Home Depot
  • Sears
  • Crate & Barrel
  • Bed Bath & Beyond
  • REI
  • Anthropologie
  • L.L. Bean
  • Loft
  • Wayfair

Paribus also monitors shipping speed, including for Amazon. So if you paid for expedited service and don’t receive it, they’ll request a refund for you. I’ve used this part less frequently since I typically use Amazon Prime or  ShopRunner 2 day free shipping which doesn’t qualify.
