A Weekend Getaway in Serbia
I always try to keep an eye on Luxury Travel Diary’s upcoming auctions. As their popularity has increased there’s not quite as many awesome bargains to be found, but I usually see at least a few good deals on luxury properties around the world. And some of the listings remind me there’s options beyond loyalty programs and have even inspired me to add a few new destinations to my wish-list, like returning to Yosemite to stay in a luxury cabin.
Not sure about Serbia though. They have an auction where you can take 9 family members or friends for a weekend getaway in Belgrade which includes 2 nights in a full service apartment for 10 people, airport transfers, city transfers, a siteseeing tour of Belgrade and one day free bicycle hire per guest. You have to get yourself there, but at the current auction price of $217 (which ends in less than 24 hours), that’s not a bad deal for a package valued at more than $1700.
And another quirky option that caught my eye is the opportunity to do two nights glamping at Crowtree Wigwams in Lincolnshire. Though with an auction price already at $100, this option might soon hit its retail price. I think glamping might be a good way to ease back into camping though 🙂
