Highlights and headlines from around the web:
- This is pretty cool (in theory)! One of the VIP lounges in Punta Cana is getting an outdoor pool that overlooks the planes and airstrips (not actually on the runway). The question will be whether it’s a relaxing outdoor space or one plagued with fumes from departing aircraft. Since it looks like it will be a member of Priority Pass, I might have to go check it out next year 🙂
Courtesy of Punta Cana International Airport - Do you need a different shaped wine glass for every varietal? A good intro article on how to pick out wine glasses and why most of us don’t need every shape and size to enjoy our wine.
- In other vino news, Texas is apparently having one of its best grape harvests for wine. Wine is now made in all 50 US states (though perhaps it shouldn’t be) and Texas is one of those lesser known wine regions doing some great things. Â I’ll be keeping an eye out in the next couple of years for the 2017 vintage.
- No. Just no. Balenciaga has partnered up with Crocs to create a high fashion platform clog.

- Yet another reason I’m glad I’ve hung on to my Hyatt Visa. Cardmembers who spend $300 or more at a Hyatt Place or Hyatt House by January 1, 2018 will get a $50 statement credit. Registration by October 31 is required.
