[Expired] Act Fast! Flights to New Zealand from Across the US in the $300s
Sharing quickly in case you haven’t seen it yet — Air New Zealand has crazy cheap fares to New Zealand from airports across the US for ~$340! Cedar Rapids, Savannah, Wichita, Rapid City, etc not just the big airport hubs!
That’s a long way to go in economy, but a great price since it’s usually $1100-$1500. Looks like the fares are good for travel through June. Auckland is the cheapest, flights to Christchurch (CHC) or Wellington (WLG) are a few hundred more.

The best way to find flights is to search on ITA Matrix (The Flight Deal has instructions) to find the dates and flights you want. Google Flights was displaying more expensive pricing once you selected flights, but it appears to work on Priceline. You’ll need to act fast and be patient — I had two itineraries change price on the check out page, but the third on different dates go through.
Wait a few days to book nonrefundable reservations to make sure the tickets are a sale and not actually a mistake.
Think you need a week or more to enjoy New Zealand? You’d certainly make use of the time, but even a few days in Auckland are worth the trip. My first (and only visit so far) was for just 3 1/2 days. 🙂
