Suitable Floral Options for Father’s Day

Trying to figure out how to recognize the special dads and father figures in your life? Concerned that flowers aren’t manly enough, but not interested in the Omaha Steaks, Popcorn Factory, etc delivery options? Aside from the fact that I think flowers are always appropriate for everyone (in fact, feel free to send some if you’ve enjoyed anything on this blog :-D), I have a few favorites for the males in my life:

1. Teleflora’s King of the Grill is my all-time favorite and comes in a mini-weber grill that can later be used with tea lites for S’mores (yes, I’ve tried it).Invalid request error occurred.

2. 1800Flowers.com’s Beer Mug of Blooms is refreshingly affordable at only $29.99 and definitely makes for a fun conversation piece. They also offer a more expensive Brandy Rose version and understated Orchid Sophistication Straight Up.

3.  For more sedate options, 1800Flower’s basket of daisies or Teleflora’s Chickadee Bouquet fit the bill.

I’ve been struggling to find an option on FTD.com that I liked, because it would be great to take advantage of the 1,500 American Airline Miles MommyPoints posted about. Nothing really grabbed me, although this patriotic bouquet could be perfect for some.

And it’s no fun sending flowers if you can’t earn miles, although most of the current offers I found are not very exciting. If you know of better deals, please indicate them in the comments.

FTD: 1,500 American Airline Miles per purchase

Teleflora: 10 Ultimate Rewards points per $, 10 miles on Delta or Alaska per $, 15 miles on US Airways per $

1800Flowers: 10 US Airways miles per $, 40 Delta miles per $ with code 52DE (unclear if still valid)

Double Dipping Opportunity: For all purchases that require Delta codes, it looks like they can be stacked with UR rewards, since they’re not tied to a specific link. Just go through the UR shopping portal and enter your delta code at checkout.
