What’s in October’s Birchbox: Goop vs Transformation
In September  I received an email giving me the option of my usual Birchbox in October, with the theme of Tranformation – products to help you change up your look in ways both big and small. Or, I could opt for the Goop version.
A friend and I were really torn over which one to select. Play it safe and go for Transformation or go high risk high reward and do Goop. Since our Birchbox profiles are similar, we decide to experiment with one of us going Goop and the other usual. Since I tend to have Birchbox envy, we decided I should opt for the Goop since the risk would be lower.
We anxiously awaited the arrival of our boxes and finally last night they both were in. The verdict? It’s Goop for the win!
My box contained a goodly array of items, all things I would use, and wrapped in the awesome Goop branded tissue paper.
First up, a near full size bottle of DDF Brightening Cleanser. (Head’s up, a little goes a long way. I accidentally poured out a nickle’s worth and wound up practically washing my entire upper body.)
Next was a tiny serving of per-fekt Beauty Lip perfection Gel.
And then in the carefully wrapped packet, a small bottle of Orofluido Beauty Elixir for shiny hair and a tube of Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum face brightening lotion.
As a crowning piece, I had several sleeves of Mighty Leaf Tea.
My friend’s box was good, but less exciting.
She received Harvey Prince ‘Eau Flirt’ fragrance and theBalm cosmetics ‘Mary-Lou Manizer’ highlighter/eyeshadow with a book of tips for highlighting your face.
She also got a near full-size sample of Mox Botanicals ‘Pomegranate & Fig Lip Butter and a packet of
Supergoop! ‘City Sunscreen Serum’ (SPF 30)
Her flavor bonus was a Luna Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter bar.
Not a bad Birchbox but mine was a little more exciting. I finally got one where I would use all the items!! Jeanne’s email about Goop vs Transformation got caught in her spam folder, so it will be interesting to see what they send her unprompted.
