The August Glossybox: 5 out of 5

a box with different products in it

I’ve been having better luck with my beauty sample boxes lately, so I was excited to receive the August Glossybox! This might be one of the best yet.

This is the first time I’ve tried almost every item as soon as I looked at! First up was a light pink nail polish from Pandora’s pouch. I typically don’t paint my fingernails, only my toes, but this color came out great. Attractive, but not distracting. Much more distracting was the bright red Jelly Pong Pong lip blush.  I don’t where red lip stick either, but this one went on quite well. Startling, but not tart-like.  The Sue Devitt Triple C-Weed Pressed face powder is perfect for flights. It evened out my skin tone without making it look like I had foundation on. So for, 3 for 3.Invalid request error occurred.

Next up was the infomercial-ly packaged Anatomicals Spray Misty for Me Facial Spray and Novex Brazillian Keratin hair treatment. I’m a HUGE fan of facial sprays, both on and off the plane, so while I wasn’t thrilled with the bottle size (too big for an amenity kit but good value I guess), it was definitely a useful product!

The Novex Keratin I have yet to try, but I’m intrigued. The packaging reminds me of Mane & Tail’s utilitarian look, the whole “I don’t have to look expensive because I work.” So here’s hoping that’s true 🙂

The hilarious bonus was the 80’s inspired denim Guess make up bag and a 30% off coupon.

I’m increasingly pleased with my Glossyboxes again and feeling like I’m getting my $21 + in value.
