Extending Expiring United Global Premier Upgrades
This year I was a lowly silver and only flew United Airlines once in favor of pursuing status with US Airways, but it was useful in the years I had 1K status to find out I could extend unused Global Premier Upgrades (GPUs) for another year, so passing this along to our readers in case they feel the same.
Based on a Flyertalk thread, it looks like it is once again possible to extend United Airlines GPUs this year, although with more restrictions:
So if you are requalifying for 2015 as a United 1K and haven’t used all your Global Premier Upgrades, it’s definitely worth a call to the 1K desk to get them extended to April 31.
