- Hyatt is apparently in talks to buy Starwood hotels. A merger of my two favorite hotel chains would be FANTASTIC as my one major problem with both is they’re not in enough locations.
- British Airways is doing away with one of the best award redemptions out there! As of Feb 2 the cost of booking a short haul (less than 600 miles) one way ticket will go from 4500 to 7500 miles.
- The latest SPG Hot Escapes have been released for stays in the next 6 weeks. Pretty slim pickings with only 64 properties, but good for upcoming European stays with 23 properties participating.
