Woman Flushes Pet Hamster Down Toilet Because Airline Told Her To?
Headlines and highlights from around the web:
- This truly horrifying story just popped up in my news feed. A college student is claiming she flushed her emotional support hamster down the toilet because an airline employee pressured her to do so. Originally informed the hamster would be allowed, at the airport she was ultimately told no, at which point employees supposedly suggested she set it free or flush it.
Now she’s considering suing the airline over “over the conflicting instructions that wound up pressuring her into making an anguished decision.” Air travel is stressful and airline representatives can often be intimidating or overbearing, but I can’t imagine anyone pushing me into making that decision. The Spirit Airines website is now pretty clear on the animals they accept. - Valentine’s Day alert: Amazon Prime members can get two dozen roses for only $19.99 Feb 7-15 at their local Whole Foods. - Think you know the dirtiest spots in the airport? Think twice before using self check-in. Apparently that screen can be one of the dirtiest surfaces in the airport, including the bathroom!
