Spoiler Alert: February’s Red Carpet Birchbox

a box with a paper in it

My Birchbox made it out before the storm hit the Northeast and I couldn’t wait to share. A friend and I have been overthinking the whole Birchbox formula for months, comparing changes in our profiles with what we receive. We’ve finally normed to the point we have the same profile, except she’s low-maintenance and I’m still “trendy.”

Depending on what’s in her Birchbox, when it arrives, I might switch that last aspect as well. But until then, here’s my Red Carpet edition:

Looks like a lot of the value in this month’s box is the online hair and beauty tutorials they’re offering, but it did contain a few items I’d find useful or worth trying.

I’m not a big chocolate fan (don’t judge) so the Ghiradelli Caramel square will go to some deserving co-worker. It’s also rare that the extent of my make up includes blush, so I’ll probably be saving the Hot Mama peachy blush by theBalm for a dressy occasion or some time when I haven’t seen the sun for days 🙂

However, I’m very interested in trying out the TIGI Catwalk “Your Highness Roost Boost Spray.” Blowdrying sometimes leaves my hair a little limp, so looking forward to seeing if this affordable travel size option gives me easy volume on the go.

The most exciting item came in the little Birchbox pouch, however. Not the Juicy Couture “Couture La La,” (I don’t use perfume) but the Dr. Jart+ Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm! I’ve been a huge fan of the tiny tube of foundation I got from them a few months ago, this luxe SPF 25 version will be perfect for my upcoming trip to Napa.

Has your Birchbox already come? Would love to know what others got!
