Sample Society’s Winter Survival Box
My November Sample Society Box arrived, and as usual, it neither amazes nor disappoints. The Winter Survival theme was very welcome though — a fresh supply of travel size beauty products to combat the oncoming cold weather.
There was a bottle of Malin + Goetz Bergamot Body Wash (8oz, $18), citrus scented and a bit like Earl Gray. And a little tube of MD Solar Sciences MD Creme Mineral Beauty Balm (30g, $39), a matte finish BB cream with 50SPF.
A perfect travel size sample of lash lengthening Lorac Cobra Mascara ($20). Intrigued but a little afraid as it apparently stays wet even hours after application which is a recipe for disaster on bad allergy days…I was less interested in the sample of Calvin Klein Reveal (30ml, $50) which claims a “sexy, warm scent” that is still too floral for me.
I was most excited about the bottle of Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Omega+ Nourishing Oil ($38) which supposedly will make your hair shiny, soft, and bouncy, until I read that it’s not good for fine hair as it has made some tester’s hair rather flat. Boo.
If you’re interested in trying Sample Society yourself, it runs $15 a month. It doesn’t offer any surveys for purchase credit, but it does come with a $15 off $50 purchase coupon for any of the items contained in the box. Sign up using my referral code KERI2337 and I will actually get credit towards a free box. 🙂
