21 Hours in Vancouver: Cathay Pacific Biz Class Lounge Vancouver Airport

There was no First Class availability when I was booking our return flight on Cathay Pacific, but I figured for a 4 hour flight, we could be perfectly happy in Business Class. But it was still a little sad to be checking in at Business Class. 🙂

Security wasn’t terrible, though my boots which make it through TSA pre-check all the time had to be taken off. We then took a left out of security and headed straight to the Cathay Pacific Business Class Lounge to warm up after our time at the Capilano Suspension Bridge and nibble on some food.

When we arrived at 7PM for the 9:50 flight it was completely empty, giving me a rare chance to take a bunch of pictures.

The food wasn’t fancy but varied and good. There were sandwiches.

Cut vegetables and soda

Cookies and cake.

a display case with plates of pastries and scissors

Dim sum options of shumai and BBQ pork buns (which were not particularly great).

a basket on a plate

Savory tarts and egg rolls.

Beverage options included a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and a red from Mission Hill, a local Canadian winery.

The bathroom was basic but clean, though I was surprised the hand lotion provided was a bottle of Aveeno.

About an hour before the flight was due to leave the lounge began filling up, one passenger finally inhabiting the First Class room. 🙂

We wanted to wander around the airport a little bit before we boarded so we left before the boarding announcement was made. A mistake since, the flight was 50 minutes late boarding. But we at least took in the Christmas decorations before they were taken down.

  1. “But still it is a little sad to be checking in at business class.” You’re a spoiled and over privileged woman.
