Book the Intercontinental Koh Samui Before May 1!

View from the Wing just posted about the 450 IHG (Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, etc) hotels that are changing redemption categories on May 1 and the Intercontinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort in Koh Samui, Thailand is on the list.

I stayed there last summer, a beautiful property even if you’re staying in a basic room. And at 25,000 points a night, this Intercontinental is a bargain!

But on May 1 the points required jumps to 35,000. Still not bad considering the Holiday Inn in Frisco, CO for instance requires the same number of points. But, if you considering a trip to Koh Samui in the coming months, hurry and make a speculative booking before next Thursday!

  1. I’m looking at the area for early next year, and was curious about reasonable eating and drinking options within walking distance. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    1. It’s at the top of a steepish hill, so not really anything within easy distance of the hotel :/

    2. @Christian – there are a couple of restaurants along the beach that are easily walkable from the hotel. Turn right out of the hotel’s beach complex and amble down the beach five to ten minutes.
