I faithfully check out Amazon’s Countdown to Black Friday Deals every day, and have been mostly underwhelmed, except for the great deals on portable external battery chargers for smart phones and tablets.
Last week was Jackery devices, today it’s the Anker 2nd Gen Astro E4 13000mAh 3A High Capacity Fast Portable Charger External Battery Power Bank for $21.99Â down from $29.95.
It can charge an iPhone6 5 times, an iPhone 6 Plus or Galaxy S5 3+times or an iPad Air once. It also has two charging docks so you can do two at once.
The only downside is it’s not small — it’s nearly 5.9 x 2.5 inches and a little over 10 oz in weight. But a good option for charging multiple devices on trip without having to worry about finding a power outlet anytime soon.
I find it odd that the travel blogs are promoting a high priced iPhone charger today @OneMileataTime @KLAtravel @pizzinmotion (as compared to the $5-$10 generics).
