Just got an alert from Extreme Hotel Deals (who saw it on Flyertalk)– new users can get $75 in credit and existing users $50 at Stayful.com.

If you’re new to Stayful.com, sign up via this link to get $25,  and for a limited time all users can put in code SECRETSANTA to get $50 in credit towards an offer of $75 or more through December 6, 2015.

I’d never heard of Stayful until now, but I’m pretty excited to try it out. At first glance it appears to be like a Priceline for boutique hotels instead of chains. But even better, you get to make offers to specific hotels!

This seems like a great way to stay at places with character while still snagging Hotwire/Priceline type deals. They show you the current online rate as well as the suggested offer price.

Initial observations:

  • Unlike Priceline not all offers will be reviewed immediately, it can take up to 24 hours
  • BUT you’re not committed to you offer even if the hotel accepts. Once they do you’ll have to confirm in order to secure the booking which means you can submit offers to multiple hotels.
  • You’re limited to three hotels per city in a 24 hour period and one offer per hotel.

I will be interested to see how much under the suggested offer gets accepted. Will report back once I’ve tried it.
