Flights from the West Coast to Europe for $69 One Way
Looks like WOW Airlines is launching a fare war with fellow low-cost carrier Norwegian Air, offering $69 flights from Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) to four European destinations. The sale is good for select flights January 15 – April 5.
If you live in California, this is a fantastic opportunity to visit:
- Edinburgh, Scotland
- Bristol, England
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Stockholm, Sweden

What’s the catch?
Flights back are not $69, they start at $149. Still not a bad deal though to fly from California to Europe for $219Â roundtrip!
Keep in mind WOW is a low-cost carrier, so anything more than your actual seat is going to cost you. For instance, if your carry on weighs more than 22lbs and can’t fit under the seat in front of you, you might wind up paying $41+. Checked bags start at $51 if purchased online, $99.99 if bought at the gate.
It looks like WOW’s $69 flights to Stockholm and Edinburgh are mostly for Tuesday departures, with the cheapest returns on Wednesdays or Fridays.
Cophenhagen and Bristol might be the best weekend trip options from LA or San Francisco — it’s $69 for Thursday or Friday departures with $199 fares on select dates for a Monday return.
