- On Monday IHG released the latest list of PointBreak Hotels for stays through July 31, 2017. PointBreak rewards can be booked for only 5,000 points a night, at least a 75% savings since award nights typically start at 20,000 points. No Intercontinental properties on the list this time, but some decent locations. The Crowne Plaza Panama Airport is on the list — I stayed there last year on a quick getaway last year. 5,000 points is a great deal and it’s the hotel closest to the airport, perfect if you’re getting in late or have an early flight out in the morning.
