The Best Lip Balm for Travel

a close-up of a tube

a small tube of lip balm

Well, really the best unisex chapstick for anytime. I recently discovered Dr. Lipp when it came as a free sample with one of my purchases. Gender neutral, except for the name, this gel is amazing for dry, chapped, or cracked lips and preventing them from ever getting that way. It now trumps both my high end lip moisturizer and Vaseline as my long-flight chapstick of choice.

It not only seals in moisture, it also adds it, smoothing and filling lines. It’s odorless, pretty much tasteless, and I find lasts for hours even when eating or drinking.

For any males considering it, the only thing to note is that a little goes a long way and if you use too much, you risk slightly glossy lips for an hour or two unless you dab some off.

At $14.50, it’s not cheap, but a tiny tube can last you for weeks.

  1. “Gender neutral, except for the name”

…what? Dr. Lipp is…feminine? Masculine? Why are we assuming who Dr. Lipp is? Sure, there’s a pink border, which would tend to indicate feminine product, but I don’t see how the name is gendered (…men have nipples too)

  2. Love trying new lip balms, moisturizers anything to keep my skin and hair smooth. I have a rotation and will have to add this in.

I can also appreciate a fragrance-free product. Sometimes you just want it to work and not smell (even if its a good smell!)

    Thanks for the tip!
