Birchbox’s Fresh Look in September
One way my geeky marketing side comes out is getting super excited or disappointed by box designs. So when I unwrapped the September Birchbox I got really excited.
The theme of the September box was Fresh Paint, which had me slightly worried it would be a little heavy on makeup, but it would up being more along the lines of primer which I prefer.
First up was dr. brandt pores no more vaccuum cleaner ($45), a gel that “degunks pores” without irritating. There was also a little tube of Jouer Anti-aging Moisture Primer ($38) made with peptides and caffeine.
With all my air travel I can never have too many hand creams so I was pleased to see the more affodable than some Tocca Crema da Mano — Bianca lotion ($10) made with green team and lemon. The Ofra Universal Eyebrow Pencil ($13) in brown was interesting, but not really useful to me.
My disappointment when I receive fragrances is well documented, but if I had to get some, the Harvey Prince Hello ($55) had a pleasant, not cloying scent.
The bonus item was awesome — two packets each of Rogue & Co smoothing shampoo and conditioner, perfect when I’m staying at hotels where I don’t like the amenity brand.
