My Favorite Clothing Pick for Winter Travel

This winter/fall travel season I’ve fallen in love with sweater dresses. They’re warm, they can be made warmer with tights, leggings, and/or boots. They look dressy but can be as comfortable as pajamas.

In previous years it was hard to find any that looked ok on someone with curves, and they were either bulky or constructed of fabric that showed every bump. This season’s designs however, seem to be flattering to most body shapes, just avoid the busy patters being forced on us by designers that look like ugly holiday holiday sweaters.

I picked up two favorites at Ross last weekend for under $20 each. The one by Pink Rose doesn’t appear to be available online, but Amazon has many variations of my Derek Heart dress (pictured above) for reasonable prices and many qualify for the 30% off sale.

I was also excited to see the wide variety of patterns and styles online at Macy’s, and getting an extra 25% off plus free shipping at $50 with code FRIEND doesn’t hurt either.

Tip for Selecting Online: Dresses that have a slightly flaring skirt are more likely to look good on a variety of body shapes and avoid a tight “going out” look.
