December Birchbox Revealed
8 days later than usual, my December Birchbox arrived in all it’s starry glory. I’d opted not to get the Party Ready box curated by Lo Bosworth because there were only 2, maybe 3 items at the most I’d want. So of course my box contained a few of those items, including the ones I didn’t want. Still, not a bad box overall.
First up was the bottle of Davines Replumping Superactive ($39.50) leave in spray to make your hair look thick and shiny. It came with a bonus — Davines Replumping Shampoo and Conditioner Duo. This was something I’m interested to try, so 1 out of 1.
The Royal Apothic Cuppa Cuppa Firming Tea Treatment Mask ($58) was another sample I was hoping would eventually end up in my box. It firms and brightens skin in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea. 🙂 I also scored the W3LL PEOPLE Bio Brightening Stick ($33) that adds both nourishment and shimmer to your skin. 3 out of 3.
‘The last two were not particularly exciting for me. I like Mirenesse, but the colors are usually a little too bright (read trampy) for me. The Mattfinity Lip Rouge in Sydney ($29) was no exception. They say to blot for a subtler look, but even that didn’t help. I’m also not a huge fan of fragrance, so while the English Laundry Signature for Her ($70) wasn’t bad, it wasn’t for me. It will make a great stocking stuff though!
There was also a $10 coupon at Gap for anyone with a Birchbox account.
A decent box, especially after I fill out the reviews and get $5 credit in the Birchbox store. If you’re interested in signing up for Birchbox, please use my link so I’ll earn store credit! https://www.birchbox.com/invite/8dw37
