Try the World — Paris Edition

My Paris box has just arrived. I decided to “Try the World” last month and received my first shipment of carefully curated goodies from around the world. I found the Marrakesh box a little disappointing, so I was feeling judgy when I opened the Paris Box.

Fortunately it was much better! The items seemed to be more expensive and unique, and definitely a fun reminder of Paris.

First up was the enormous box of Truffettes De France — decadent chocolate truffles dusted with cocoa powder. I’m actually not a huge chocolate fan, but these are awesome.

Then a generous jar of Domaine Des Vignes whole grain mustard, evoking memories of my beloved charcuterie plates, and a slightly smaller jar of Charles Antona Minna organic peach apricot jam. I need a croissant pronto!

Next was Le Saunier De Camargue fluer de sel. I adore salt, so “artisanal unrefined finishing salt” from the South of France sounds perfect. And there was La Mere Poulard Butter Biscuits as their mystery treat.

And last, but equally exciting was the little candied fruit bars in raspberry and apricot. Mmmmmm. I haven’t had these since the last time I was in France years ago.

Want to try Try the World? It’s not cheap, but it seems like it’s a lot of fun and a good gift for the traveler who might have everything else. It runs $39.95 a box, shipped every two months. You can get the Paris box free if you start a subscription with their Marrakesh box.
