Visiting the Smallest Park in the World

No first trip to Portland would be complete without a trip to Mill Ends Park, the smallest park in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

I first heard of the park back in 2013 when someone stole its tree. The tree was replaced and then the original returned a day later, so it was in all its original glory when I went to visit it yesterday.

Is it under construction you might ask? Nope, that’s it! That tiny tree in the middle of the median.

I don’t know why I get so tickled by random things like this, but I’m definitely glad I went. It’s a few minutes walk off the main drag in downtown Portland, at the intersection of Naito & SW Taylor. If you’ll be in the area, check it out.
