Lounge Review: The Club at PHX

a room with a bar and chairs

The Admirals Club closest to my gate being closed for renovations proved the perfect excuse to check out The Club at PHX during a recent Phoenix layover. Fly And Dine had written about its opening last year and I was curious.

Located at the far end of Terminal 4 by Gates B15-28, it’s not particularly convenient for most US Airways or American Airline flights, but since my outbound aircraft was delayed, I had two hours to kill.

Day passes are $35 but I could get in free with my Priority Pass Select membership (via my American Express Platinum credit card). It was interesting to note the club is exclusive to British Airways passengers starting at 3:30.

It’s pretty basic as lounges go — there’s two rooms, one well-lit with windows on two sides providing a great view out towards the hills. Bathrooms are located outside the lounge.

Beverages including alcohol are free. No super fancy options, but seemed a cut above Admirals Club free wine selections. Decent snack options — baskets with Milano cookies and bags of potato chips are at almost every chair and refilled promptly.

Also fun popcorn options and fruit.

I only spent about 30 minutes there, but mid morning on a Wednesday it had fairly light traffic. Overall a pleasant stay. Is it worth trekking from other gates to visit if you have Admirals Club access? No.

If you have a long layover and need somewhere to relax and be productive, $35 is a probably worth it. As far as independent lounges go, so far I like the one at BWI best.

  1. Thanks for the review. Looks like a great place to stop for a quick recharge! Headed through PHX this month with 2 kids.
