Love the Outdoors? Plan Your Vacation for These Days in 2016

Every year the National Park Service waives entrance fees on specific holidays. This year to celebrate their 100th birthday, they’re waiving entrance fees for an entire week in April and a long weekend in August as well.

Here are the list of fee-free days in 2016:

  • MLK Day: January 18
  • National Park Week: April 16-24
  • National Park Service Birthday: August 25-28
  • National Public Lands: September 24
  • Veterans Day: November 11

On the flip side, if you truly are an outdoor enthusiast, it might be worth paying the entrance fee on other days to avoid the crowds and support the park 🙂

  1. An America the Beautiful pass is only $80 and good for 12 months from purchase. A good way to support the parks 🙂
