Hilarious Siri Fail: “What is a Group of Moose?”

By  |

Now for something completely random — ask Siri (verbatim) “What is a group of moose?”

Spoiler: she won’t say a herd.

If you don’t have an Apple device, there’s a screenshot below so you can share in the fun randomness. I stumbled across this glitch after a visit to the Alaska Wilderness Conservation Center. We were brushing up on our moose knowledge and realized we didn’t know the correct name for a group of moose. A gaggle? A hoard? A rampage?

Eventually we found out a group of moose is called a herd.

Not Jared Padalecki.

My Android phone gives the correct answer. What a relief!

Oh, Crowley… I can only imagine it’s a programmer’s joke. On Supernatural, Jared Padalecki’s character Sam is nicknamed Moose by another character.
