Get Free TSA Pre-Check Through Orbitz
Book twelve hotel nights through Orbitz and they’ll foot the enrollment fee for TSA Precheck.
I’m a big fan of Orbitz Rewards but haven’t paid much attention to their elite program. Based on the number of hotel nights you book through Orbitz you can earn Silver, Gold, or Platinum status which comes with various perks. I’m a slave to elite status at particular hotels, so this hasn’t been on my radar, but this is particularly great for folks whose vacation or business travel dictates location vs brand.
Orbitz Rewards Gold status and higher supposedly comes with free wi-fi, hotel upgrades, free breakfast and other perks.
A friend emailed me recently to let me know they’d hit Orbitz Rewards Platinum status for staying 12+ hotel nights booked through Orbitz.
I’d heard about the getting two checked bag fees reimbursed with Orbucks, but hadn’t realized that they would cover the $85 TSA pre-check enrollment fee. My friend has to book the most affordable hotels closest to the client headquarters, so this is a great way for them to get some kind of recognition even though they can’t be brand loyal.
I would love to know how often the upgrade & free breakfast pans out though!
