I Just Won 1,000 Alaska Airline Miles! (Why You Should Enter Those Airport Contests)

I was killing time between flights at the Anchorage Airport and saw a fun floor display at our gate. On a lark, I snapped a picture and submitted it on Facebook. A few days ago I got word that I had been selected as Florcraft Carpet One Floor & Home‘s winner of 1,000 Alaska Airlines!
This not only made my day, but it was a good reminder why I should enter those random contests when I have the time. Probably not that many people do, which dramatically increases your chances. 🙂

It does pay to enter random contests! In 2014, I won a trip to NYC for 3 nights courtesy of Marriott – specifically Fairfield Inn – in a twitter contest about mentoring. Last year I won a contest sponsored by Amex in which I won a trip for 4 to a national park for submitting a photo. We head to Yosemite in a week!
