The Art Show I Can’t Stop Watching
I never thought I’d sit through a 30 minute instructional painting class and be transfixed, but I just discovered Bill Alexander’s show.
In 30 minutes of less, he paints amazing landscapes. That alone is impressive, but it’s the way he does it that’s so fascinating. Using a “brush big enough to paint a barn with” and a pallette knife, he slaps paint on the canvas.
And just when the brushstrokes are starting to make sense, he appears to ruin it by painting random lines.
Which then magically the lines become trees with perfect sun dappled bark. And so it goes.
Before I know it, 30 minutes have disappeared and I’m dying to run out to buy paint and canvas so I too can create masterpieces. Enjoy! 🙂
(And this was comedy skit that prompted me to check out Bill Alexander’s show.)
