That Time 7 Elevens Became Kwik E Marts

Do you remember when 7 Elevens rebranded their stores to become real-life Kwik E Marts? In July 2007, 7 Eleven decided to have some fun (and attract Simpsons fans) and decorated just 11 stores to look like the famous cartoon convenience store.

I’m a huge marketing geek and fortunately one of those Kwik E Mart locations was not too far from where I lived, so a roadtrip to Bladensburg, MD was in order! (h/t: Facebook Memories, forgive the 2007 picture quality)

It was pretty well done and the store was full of people like us, taking pictures, and buying souvenir boxes of KrustyOs and 6 packs of Buzz Cola.
