The first Friday in June marks National Donut Day, also known as National Doughnut Day, and is a great chance to score some free tastiness.

Interesting fact: The day honors the Salvation Army Lassies in WWII who served doughnuts to the soldiers and was first started in 1938 as a fundraiser to help feed the needy.
