What’s in the November Sample Society Box

a box of cosmetics

I just received my third Sample Society box, and I admit I’m rather uninspired. Based on the retail price of the contents, my $15 wasn’t wasted, but unfortunately most of the items aren’t really up my alley.

I’m not a huge fan of perfume, so unfortunately the sample of Annick Goutal Eau d’ Hadrien Eau de Toillette ($92) while nice smelling, wasn’t appreciated as much as it probably could have been. The tiny Jane Iredale Lip Drink Lip Balm ($12) with SPF 15 however, had some promise.

I have hopes for the Murad Anti-Aging Acne Pore & Line Minimizing Hydrator ($49.50) and perhaps the Borghese Splendore Brightening Makeup ($29.50) will be good for holiday parties.

While I like candles, they’re not exactly what I”m hoping to find in my monthly subscription boxes, so a bit disappointed in the Illume Balsam & Cedar Metallic Tin Candle ($23.50)…Granted it is travel size, but I’m not usually in the habit of taking candles with me.

If these items, or past boxes, appeal. You can subscribe for $15 a month through Beauty Bar.
