My timing is awful! I’d originally booked a trip to Gainesville over Labor Day weekend, but wound up cancelling. Then today I got an email from Uber, announcing something I’ve long wished for.

Everything in Gainesville is pretty spread out, making it difficult and costly to use cabs. Especially to and from the airport. UberX coming to Gainesville is really exciting — this expands the limited hotel options if you wanted to avoid renting a car and will probably come in handy during football season for fans who want to party and get home safely and quickly.

So just enter code GATORSFREE in your Uber app and get 5 rides up to $25 free through September 1. And if you haven’t signed up for Uber yet, do so using my referral link, www.uber.com/invite/qqmn3, and we’ll both get another free ride up to $30!

  1. Does Uber applicable for business travel? Are they listed as transportation agency and can provide a receipt?

    1. Yes! You’ll want to check with your employer, but I’ve not heard of anyone not being able to be reimbursed for Uber rides like they could a taxi. And even better, the receipts are automatically emailed!
